But alas it has no schematic.  Can't find it now on the web.. does anyone 
know where it went?

I have a copy of the file here and can email it to you - it's only 243 kb.

I searched the LOGSA site and also launched a google search for Dovetron 
and URA-17, which I saw mentioned in a post by someone who'd used both..

Found a URA-17 mentioned in an on-line aerographers mate training site:

referred to as the CV-483.  The T/U looks like a militarized Dovetron.
