Hi

There were a number of these stations. It's not real clear which sort 
you are asking about.

The early gear used on the voice based stations was the same as what 
WWV and CHU used. More or less it's a big hammond organ. A series of 
magnetized drums or disks that run past tape heads. Not very fancy but 
it works.
