I get the same thing.
I finally got this PC hooked up to copy from the sounds from the net: 
Winamp gets the interrnet sound feed and I ran a wire from the line out 
jack to the mike input jack (line input does not seem to work) and by 
messing with all the slider controls I get no overload in MMTTY and it 
decodes most of what is sent.

I would like to send my email input though,
