[GreenKeys] new ribbon problems 28ksr

Hi All,

When to staples the other day and picked up a "dataproducts #R3300" ribbon for my 28ksr. Says it replaces okidata. Seems to be exactly what I need, fits perfectly, even has the metal eyelets to trigger the tape to move in the opposite direction.  Here's the problem.

Seems almost like there is too much ink! letters like ARBP the ink fills in the little small opened parts of these letters. Ink looks a little blotchy.

Should I simply expect this from a new ribbon? Will this problem lessen over time?  Is there any adjustment that I can make perhaps so the little character hammers dont hit the ink/paper so hard?
