    Dang. This was my first TTY machine, in '66 when I was 14. Paid $40 for 
it - back then that was the kid-equivalent of buying a house - lotta 
money! Mine was the gummed-paper-strip printer, and even had the moistener 
and 'compositor' thingie on the side...  it was kinda problematic when the 
humidity was higher than normal - overnight the gum would stick to the 
rubber capstan and subsequently provide the opportunity for a hour's worth 
of disassebly and cleaning...
