          It looks home-made, John. Do you think the wind-up me! chanism is possibly 
          from an old 78 rpm gramophone?

          I see that K0SVJ, is listed as a David T. McKenzie, member of the Old, 
          Old Timers club. Maybe he's still alive and you could ask him?
