Greenkeys,

Just to remind you that there are several programs available "FREE" for
download that are WindowsXP friendly. You recently read about the RTTYArt
program several Greenkeyers are using to capture paper tape to disk. There
is also RTTYAppXP that is being used by George, W7TTY in his recent "New
Project" broadcasts using WinAmp or RealPlayer to copy RTTY from
<207.207.72.32:8000>. There is even the infamous WinPSK31 application with
an added feature of printing to a "BAUDOT" RTTY machine via RS-232. All of
these applications can be downloaded from:

Note that all of the above applications require an RS-232 to 60ma current
loop adapter. The software takes care of reading the raw BAUDOT via the
RS-232 port. No special pre-processing is required. I use a modified ST-6
with the RS-232 conversion which was common in the early 70's. Half of the
interface is provided using the following circuit:

So what is needed is a simple bi-directional circuit to interface the
computer's RS-232 port with the 60ma current loop without frying the
interface! It would be cool if someone would provide a very simple circuit
board to do this.

Oh yea, forgot the best part. I've been adding the source code to my site
for most of my software projects. As time allows, I'll be updating these
files as well. You can find the source at the following URL:
