    Hey George - Q5 copy here in Carson City - no QRM, QRN - slight QSB.

   No, but seriously folks - I've been using Winamp and Shoutcast for some 
months now, in connection with sending live lectures and other 'open mike' 
type programs - there have been some instances of brief-to-moderate 
interruptions in the data stream that seem to be related to the bandwidth 
of the source and the number of total users of the Server...  haven't got 
a real handle on that yet, but they're "working on it".  And very 
occasionally, I've noticed a 'dropped letter' or two in the copy here - 
again, with so many variables and foibles and subtle 'gotchas' involved, 
it's difficult to actually pin down theunderlying failure. In this case, 
of course, it's trivial and not worth worrying about. Copy is proceeding 
as we speak...


   So I'm wondering how long it's going to take to set up a TTY Chat Room 
(The Chat Shack??)  I can hear it now:

   "..... but, why???"

   'Cause we *can*, that's why!
