Larry,

It is a little tricky to replace but it can be done. It is made out
of semi-transparent Delrin.

The part number is TP 173979

I called Telemechanics about this hammer head and also the one for
32, 33, 38 which is TP 180502, but they never called me back.

Question Please:

I finally determined that my typing reperf isn't typing because the
hammer that hits from under the paper tape isn't hammering.

According to the parts book, it is just a metal piece that bangs
against the paper. However, this appears to need a shoe on the end
of the metal piece...there's a small depression where an attached
shoe would appear to belong. Probably something soft and malable.

As it stands, the metal arm comes up but does not meet the paper
tape...thus the assumption there has to be a "shoe" or hammer head!
I remember reading there is a "print inhibit" function but I don't
see this....I may be missing something too.

If there is such a part, can someone supply the part number? It
surely isn't in my parts manual.

Many thanks,

Lar
