[GreenKeys] Help with Seimens T1200

Fellows, I need some help regarding the Seimens T1200.

We have a potential customer/user in Africa who says that our equipment
must work with a Seimens T1200 Baudot teleprinter. At this time, I do not
know the variant of the teleprinter the customer has - or even what
questions I should be asking.

Our contact is an Italian Systems House who tells me that a loop interface
is required. But there are many varieties of "loop interface" - polar,
neutral, 20 mA, 60 mA, 80 mA, 28V, 60V, 100V, etc. All have been used in
Africa at one time or another and we have supported many, but not in the
same product.

Like Teletype, Seimens had many variants of each model. Can someone tell
me what questions to ask and where the user might look on the machine to
determine which options are installed?

This is one of those deals where the stuff must be made up and transported
to a remote site where a "demonstration" must be made. The T1200 in
question will not be seen until the time of the demo but we can ask
questions in advance. Or, maybe I can try to be prepared for all of the
possible I/O options of a T1200?

For example,
Is there an extended model number such as "T1200/xxxx" or some such format
that might identify the I/O option installed?
If so, where on the machine is the tag/placard located?
Do you have a translation table?
Is possible that the user can just open the cover and physically observe
inclusion or lack of I/O options?
ANYTHING else that will be useful?

Thanks in advance,

Bill Henry
