Tony,

There are some facts that few people seem to know. The USA has what
are called strategic petroleum reserves. During the past years the
amount of reserve petroleum fell down to about 100 million barrels.
President Bush ordered the reserves to be filled. Full, the reserve
is about 400 million barrels. This has put an extraordinary demand
on the petroleum industry world-wide. The good news is that the
reserve is now almost filled. Once it is full, oil prices should
start to fall as the demand decreases. Hold off on long driving
trips until October.

P.S. One of the reasons Japan lost WWII is they failed to bomb the
fuel storage at Pearl Harbor. Admiral Nimitz had invented underway
refueling. My grandfather was in charge of petroleum distribution
during the war in the Pacific.
