   Yup, quite a bit on/off.

Nothing more should at this point, except to turn the matter over to
eBay and the USPS Inspectors. There is no valid reason for anyone to want
to pay you an excess amount in one medium, and then have you return the
'overage' to them via another medium - unless there is dishonesty
involved.

The same goes for offers of credit card overages, depositing 'cashier's
checks' (which finally bounce sometimes weeks later, leaving YOU
responsible for making them good, and in general "laundering" some unknown
person's money in the context of an online deal.

And it's further mind-boggling that folks fall for this crap, every
week, week in and week out. "Hello Mr. _fill-in-the-blank_ - you don't
know me but I've contacted you to help me get $170,083,962,765.51 out of
Nigeria - 10% is yours to keep and I just need all of your personal
banking details and a "transaction fee" of a few thousand to get things
started. Oops, more bribes needed, just another couple of thousand.
Sorry, a snag with the Finance Department - please wire four thousand at
once, the 170 billion will the come in next Tuesday....

And then they're gone, with your money, and you're too embarrassed to
even 'fess up and report them - fat lot of good it'll do, anyway.

I hear P.T. Barnum laughing in the backround...

Cheers
