[GreenKeys] Little Army Patch panel: Cable color codes?

Greenkeyers,

In a recently acquired "TM11-655 Fundamentals of Telegraphy
(Teletypewriter)", I discovered very brief descriptions of two Army items I
have:

1) Line Test Unit (a slope fronted box with terminals, jacks, meter, line
rheostat, and a relay inside). This is intended to repeat neutral line
signals to the local printer via the relay, allow for local or "distant"
supply of loop current, and adjust line current to the needed value. NOTE:
If you have one of these, the two-prong line cord on it is for *DC
ONLY*. Do not plug it into the wall!

2) A little wooden box with 5 rows of 6 jacks intended for temporary
patching of various parts of a teletype system. The connections are made
with a set of solder terminals from what looks like a 25- or 50-pair
telephone cable. Thus my question:

What is the standard color code for multiple-pair telephone/teletype cables?

I have some cables with 50-pin phone company connectors on them, a couple
of rack panel RJ-45 patch panels with the matching connectors, some punch
down blocks, and some T-R-S and T-R patch panels. All this will make a fine
station installation, so I'd like to follow the normal color coding so I
can keep track of the connections. I want the whole thing to be
dis-assemble-able in the event I move in the future.

I understand that the Tip-Ring patch panels are used for loops and the
Tip-Ring-Sleeve ones are used for audio (telephone and audio TTY
tones. I'll be hooking up the DC loops and the audio lines (AFSK, receiver
outputs, terminal unit inputs) in a useful patch panel array.
