I picked up a pair of Creed 75's yesterday on a rescue mission to Nauvoo,
Illinois. These machines were used in the mid-'70s by Spiegel Company of
Chicago as part of their "Director Card" inventory system which also
included optical readers manufactured by Ferranti-Packard. You can seen one
of the machines at www.sideslip.net/creed - a section of a Spiegal order
form is still on the platen. These are baudot "KSR" machines with integral
tape punches but not readers. There is also a .pdf document describing the
inventory system at the above site.

Now if I could only find a little more time to work on these things instead
of just mothballing them!

Jack
