RO = Receive Only
KSR = Keyboard - Send - Receive.
ASR = Automatic - Send - Receive
The RO and KSR macnines are built on the same base, and are more or less as
you see the one mentioned here. The case is 21 inches wide. The KSR is
capable of 'Send'in from the keyboard only.
The 28 ASR is 36 inches wide, and has a large base on which can be mounted
various combinations of TDs, tape punches/typing reperfs, independant
underdome reperfs and other stuff. A much more complex machine mechanically
and electrically.
This one is a nice looking machine in spite of the red paint job.

Copied from the ad: As you can see from the picture, I've painted the
cabinet red.
I wish it were closer, it would have a new home!
Question though- (I'm not well-versed on TTY machines)
what is the difference between a KSR and an ASR? I had
(what I thought) was a KSR, and it had a reperferator
built into it. I don't see one on this model on eBay. Was
mine an ASR? I sure wish I had it back now!
If anyone near South Carolina has a nice working 28
(ASR or KSR) that they want to sell at an inexpensive
price, send me an e-mail!
I know where there is a model 15 if anyone wants it.
It would require pickup in a nearby town.
