That helped a bunch Bob!
I have been listening in the right area thanks to the group, but I forgot to
go to the right sideband. On my ST5-A, I noticed that as I tune through the
"magic" frequency the mark light goes on and off and then both mark and space
lights go back and forth and then just the space light goes on and off. This I
think is what you are telling me. I am sure this sounds way basic, but I
just got the ST5-A yesterday, and I have never seen one before. Some of the back
and forth signals seem to make the lights flicker, but others cause the two
lights to alternate in a solid almost countable fashion. Is this the
difference between 100wpm and 60wpm?
"A quick way to check the TU is to tune to a tone from your calibrator."
Sure I will get right on it. What is a calibrator? That is an old Bill Cosby
joke. What is a cubit? God was speaking to him telling him to build The Ark.
Hi Hi
I have underlined all the good stuff in your email
Thanks,
