Just how black are the plates in that 12AU7 ???  Has it been exposed to
direct sunlight ??  Which hand is the boy holding the bugle in ??

There are circles and then there are circles.

My security contractors have strongly advised me to neither confirm nor 
deny that I have on my premises any 12AU7's containing black plates or 
bearing the symbol of a boy playing a bugle, and further to never even 
mention the fabled single plate 2A3 vacuum tube.

Sigh.
