I have been monitoring three frequencies as possible locations for our
autostart net. 10.133, 10.135, 10.137, and 10.127
Here are the results so far:
10.133 : fairly frequent Pactor and Pactor II. Seems to be an
automated net frequency. Stations that call in are immediately answered
and a link established followed by data streams. Five to ten message
sessions per day. Sounds like a Sail Mail type frequency or something
similar for automated forwarding of email. Probably unsuitable as an
autostart frequency
10.135 : Fairly clear until 17:00 CDT when a carrier appears exactly
zerobeat 10.135, Occasional high speed data.
10.137: Fairly clear. Occasional weak Pactor but otherwise OK. Is
listed as a Helscriber frequency in the ARRL band plan but I don't hear
any.
10.127 Fairly clear. Just started monitoring. Out of the ARRL
Band Plan for RTTY but perfectly legal with the FCC.
What are others hearing ??
