Good news. Effective this Monday, May 3, we have a Morse symbol for the =
@ sign. Now we can send e-mail addresses correctly by Morse code. And =
it is easy - "AC" ._ _._. as in "at com."=20
Now you Green Keyers. There isn't a Baudot code symbol for the @ =
sign. We don't want to neglect the other communication mode that we =
relish. How about using the 00000.
Five zeros are not used in Baudot code except maybe for a special need. =
I think that we might have used it in WW II for a "stop sending" symbol =
in case the other station accidentally dropped into clear text. I am =
sure someone will tell me of some use but it is not listed as a standard =
Baudot character. =20
Sorry fellows, but I thought that with all of the serious news a =
little "good news" might relieve the tension. Hi
