Peter,
Your fire loss has me upset. The 37s and 12s (as well as 31s, 26s,
19s, 14s, 38s, paper tape dataspeed senders and receivers) are rare
machines. My rule of thumb on any rare teletype machine for the
purposes of value is $500. each. It is an average of many combined
factors, including a ceiling for which items exceeding $500. become
curious to the IRS.
In other words if you had donated these machines to our museum, I
would have provided you with a tax deductable receipt of $500. for
each machine.
Current values for less rare machines such as 32s, 33s, BRPEs, 35s,
40s, 45s are about $300. each. Value for the least rare and last
machines, 15s, 43s, 3410s are about $100. each.
I kinda wish I had not read this message.

P.S. I hope many of you either saw or will see "The FOG of WAR" by
Errol Morris. It is still playing in theaters. We assisted in the
production of the documentary. It won the OSCAR for the best
documentary feature at this years Academy Awards!
