it was the '12 that really hurt (and the keypunch). The 12 had a full
set of manuals,
service tools, and about 200# of extra parts. It like the 35, and the
IBM keypunch
were 'backup' units, all with very little use.
A 35 will be easy to replace, except the one i had, had a hour meter
that had less the
100 hours on it when i obtained it.
I'm not going to sweat the 37, to me it was just an excellent example of
the last of the art
of mechanical design but alas, also a sad indication of corporate
blindness. The BRPE's are also
to me are again just demonstrators of mechanical design. Well maybe Just
is to cold, anything
from Teletype is emotional for me :)
thank for you reply,

Pete,
A Model 12 is probably the only Teletype that could qualify as a real
"antique" (versus the Model 28ASR on Ebay now that is going for $750,
with missing parts...good grief!).
I'd estimate the Model 12 to be in the $200-$500 category. The 35 isn't
worth much and the 37's are tough to guess at. Not many 37's around,
either. But, they're definitely not as collectible as a Model 12 would
be. I'd love to get my hands on a Model 12 myself. I was surprised to
see a basic Model 15 recently go for over $150 on Ebay.
