Steve, et all,
At Illinois Bell we evaluated a digital test system from AT&T that
used dual processors of this type for redundancy and reliability. It
did not work out that way. The system had to be re-booted five times
a day on average. We chose the Hekimian Labs REACT system instead,
much to the disappointment of the AT&T sales team. Since the same
processors seemed to work very well in other applications, methinks
AT&Ts "Digitest" was an example of rush to market, or "wine before
its time."
