Hi Group,
Well my Dovetron came today, much to my pleasure and I'm glad to have it.
Now, to get it online. Someone I think mentioned the possible availability of a
manual for these things. I expect the difficulty is in the fact that so many
variants were produced for special purposes. This one has a couple of layers of
daughter boards installed, with many unpopulated solder pads, cryptic
nomenclature and little sense of what they do. It appears from a sticker on the top
lid that it's set up for AFSK and one tone set looks like it might be standard;
there's a KOS circuit it says, and M-S reversal (Is that an "RY" generator?)
at 75 Bauds. Oh, evidently it requires an external interface for the current
loop. I think Jack made a schematic available for one that operates the page
printer. Will I need to use a polar relay to key the transmit side of the
Dovetron from a M28 or M19?
Anyway, where can one obtain a manual for the Dovetron? I believe I have a
power connector, but if not I can get one from Wm. Perry no sweat. It's great to
finally have it in hand and now I'm eager to get it online for some copy.
I think my HAL will be on ebay soon :-)
