Item Description:
See photos. Thi auction is for the two Morkrum Wheatstone Relay 1-B shown. I believe these were used in very early telegraphy or teletype or ticker tape systems.These are precision instruments mostly made of brass. The glass top flips up to reveal the indicator. Inside the vertical tube is the relay mechanism as shown in one of the photos. The knob on the side has a brass plate above it that says "<-- Spacing   Marking -->". There are 7 connections around the wooden base, each labeled with a single letter: D, D, U, U, S, T and M. These relays seem to be in excellent condition but I have not tested them in any way. Note that only one has the name plate which says "Wheatstone Relay 1-B Morkrum Co. Chicago". The name plate is missing from the other one. But these relays are identical. Untested. As-is. No reserve.
