Hello everyone,

Anybody near NYC have an ASR-33 in running condition which can be filmed
for an upcoming documentary?

Please contact Amanda at CBS News if you have one ready to go: "Hollrah,
Amanda" <HollrahA at cbsnews.com> or phone her at 212/975-8164.

She initially contacted me by phone. I said I have one but would need time
to check and lube it for running a demo. She indicated they were thinking
of having the film crew come up here perhaps next Thursday (29 July) to
shoot mine but I told her I felt there may be somebody downstate or in
Jersey/Connecticut who has one.

She reported that the documentary has something about early computing
within it and the shot will be used in that section.

I've got a clean, very little used 33 that I need to drag out and check
over as it hasn't been run since 1997, which will take awhile. If nobody
has one ready I can fire mine up anyway. Let us know.

Thanks for your help!

Regards, Chris F.
