[GreenKeys] Drinking to many spice models

Hi

I may be getting my spice models mixed up with my beer bottles here but
here it goes ....

When you look at the setup on a model 28 keyboard contact set there is
a cute little RFI filter involved. The thing is pretty well marked and
it's obvious that it was to be fed with a dual voltage supply that
would put out something like +/- 60 volts or so. This would make a lot
of sense for driving a polar signal line.

The setup with all the caps on the contacts does not seem to make much
sense if you are running a neutral loop that has magnets in series with
the contacts. As a matter of fact it actually looks like it will create
quite a bit of distortion ( thus the spice models ...).

I also seem to remember a note somewhere saying that the contacts on
the model 28 keyboard are not rated for 60 ma magnets in the loop type
operation. Don't seem to be able to track that note down ( may be the
now empty beer bottles ....).

Obviously the debate over wet and dry keying has been going on for
quite a while. I have no doubt that dry keying is a better bet for long
term 24 hour a day operation and that it creates less RFI. What I'm
asking about is weather model 28's were designed for wet loops or not.

Back to the beer .... then off to check the lobster.

	Enjoy!
