[GreenKeys] Model 28 Motor Trivia

Hi

Sitting here doing some casual reading of NAVSHIPS 93788 ( AKA TTY 
Bulletin 270) I notice that the DC motor for a model 28 is also listed 
for 25 cycle use. As far as I know the only things in the universe 
wired for 25 cycles are a few major industrial plants in the Buffalo 
area and parts of the New York City subway system. Neither one seems 
like a major location for the Navy .....  Did good old Thomas Edison 
get some of his gear onto a boat or two or is this just a carry over 
from civilian usage? Inquiring minds want to know ....

Has anybody *ever* seen a model 28 set up on 25 cycle power?
