I have a couple of homebrewed RTTY boxes here, and I am looking for their
function. Here are the details:

1. A box containing many passive (inductor and capacitor) components. My
guess it that is a filter. It
has a labeled BNC "INPUT" and "LOWER", "UPPER" outputs. The other side of
the box has a rotary switch selecting different "SHIFTS" of 170, 700, 775,
850, 925. The input has a 20 ohm pot across it.

2. A larger unit, which I am guessing is a demodulator. The front has an
adjustable inductor labeled "TUNE LOWER", other controls ON/OFF (duh),
"LOWER/BOTH/UPPER", "REVERSE". The rear has many BNC conntectors, labeled
"MONITOR, UPPER, LOWER", "OUTPUT" (with two BNC conectors), "INPUT", a pot
labled "ADJUST TO 60 MA", and a lead labeled "FILT UP" The electronics are
tube and semiconductor diode, very homebrew with copper tape grounds.

I think I have guessed the basic function correctly, but I am not sure
about what each input and output does. Perhaps somebody knows?
