My unit arrived yesterday. Looks like new and was in a sealed plastic wrap. Hmmmm. It has a tag on the top with some information as to what values are in effect with the Wide-Medium-Narrow switch in whichever position.

This is a MPC-1000 II Tempest terminal. Shift values that it is set for, i suspect in the transmit mode are 1275, 2000 and 600 cycles. It also says it has the KOS-100T Keyboard operated switch option. It also states that the Tone keyer output is -0-Dbm at 600 ohms.

My other Dovetron has a cabinet the same color as the Hal ST-6 but a gray front panel. This unit is totally black and has several different features. One thing that needs adapting is the audio input which is currently a BNC connector. How many of you have BNC connectors for audio out on your receivers? Course i understand why this was done but it will certainly require some adaptation to get the 600 ohm audio from my FT-990 port.

Nothing but BNC connections on the back. Are the other units like this? Wonder if they are all the same? After seeing the different units listed on Ebay, makes me wonder how many different versions of this beast Hank manufactured.

If anyone wants a front picture of this, i'll take one and have it available as a .jpg file to send along as requested.

I picked up a copy of the manual from another list member last summer/fall sometime. While it didnt't address my older unit in particular, it did provide a lot of info that may apply to his one as well.

Nice job Glen and associates. ABsolutely great find.
