There is no proper way to thank George, and a few other very selfless
people, for what they have have done - and are doing - to preserve a very
viable form of communication in the face of a great deal of indifference.

My hat is off to W7TTY and the others!

On the subject of power cordsets for the Dovetrons - if they are like
mine, they are an oblong 3-pin plug with the gnd elevated slightly, making
a very flat triangle when viewed end-on.

These are easily available from Belden, for around $6.50 each. They are
listed in the Newark and Allied catalogs as well as on Beleden's website.
Any well-stocked electronic distributor ought to be able to get them with
no problem, as long as they handle Belden products.

NOTE: There are two models, depending on which side of the ground pin the
'hot' is connected to... don't mix them up!! you will most likely fry
your loop components and quite likely yourself (or other operators) in the
process. This is a subtle "gotcha". My existing MPC1000 is pinned
'left-of-gnd' when seen with the gnd pin at the apex, looking at the end
of the connector. I also notice that the hot line goes to the 'power'
switch first, *then* the fuse.... naughty, naughty! Gotta change that
one of these days...     ;}

If anyone has real problems getting Dovetron power cords - please write
to me directly and I'll ship you one... I have several, though they're
showing their age somewhat.... but aren't we all?

 Cheers
