The Dovetron has a dual autostart circuit that permits operator selection of autostarting on a Marking carrier or on a RTTY signal with Mark-Space transitions. A third option is added to some units called "Digital Autostart" that looks for a specific valid character, (a space I think) before turning on the motor/magnets.
