Hey Guys;

Again, back in the 70's on the 20m autostart group we had a
couple of things in effect to help on the issues:

There were 3 general call sequences: <SPACE DE SPACE>, which
just about every amateur uses [ WA2EAA DE W6ESE ], <ZCZC> and
<QST>.

Selective calling, for traffic (such as the propagation reports)
would go out with a code word and no <space de space> such as
<PRPG from W6ESE>.

Alot of the guys had 2 machines on the circuit: one to watch
for specific traffic for them (SELCAL based) and then a 2nd
one that would print anything.

For unattended operation I'll probably just leave my laptop
running MIX32 monitoring the channel, and let it store the
data to disk.

73,

tonyp / W6ESE ex-WA2EAA
