In fact, if the SSB transmitter using AFSK is perfect, the radiated
emission from AFSK on a SSB radio and FSK are exactly the same.  The
purests will tell you that the SSB transmitter is not perfect, and they are
right.  However, generally most SSB transmitters are close enough to
perfect that you would be very hard pressed to tell the difference (or even
detect the difference without sophisticated test equipment).
