Every 28 has a stuntbox, but not every 28 has all the parts to do
selective calling. Putting it into a machine that doesn't have it
is a fairly involved undertaking. A print suppression codebar has to
be added to the rack of codebars, for instance. In some but not all
versions there is a 115VAC solenoid on the end of the machine that
is energized to allow copying everything.

Can someone point out the directions for the electronic stunt box
designs of yore? These might be a lot more practical for the ordinary
ham; plus they allow you to keep the motor turned off when you aren't
receiving.

It can be argued that the proper end-of-message code is LF-NNNN and
not just NNNN. I'm aware of some switching systems which particularly
detect that sequence.
