Hi

One way or another we need the ability to do a PING. In other words 
send a specific selcal and get a more or less fixed reply. That would 
give us a nice fast way to confirm that a setup is working ok. Ideally 
the codes on the thing would keep it from being printed by the rest of 
the crew. Who wants to print a quick brown fox message ....

Must be strange idea here on the east coast tonight ....
