I'm sure you'll all be as sad as I am to hear that Alan Hobbs, G8GOJ, 
died last night after a long battle with cancer.

Alan was a good friend and a bottomless fund of knowledge about Creed 
teleprinters. He was one of the early members of the British Amateur 
Radio Teleprinter Group and latterly its Presdent.

The Telecoms Heritage Group have asked me to put together an obituary 
for their Journal. If you have any memories of or tributes to Alan I'd 
be pleased to hear for possible inclusion.
