Phil,
    All of our long distance was done by radio in WW II. We could repeat =
by radio.   In the field  we used wire line with the standard 60 mil =
loops.  Overseas cable was limited and was narrow bandwidth.  It was =
mostly telegraphy.  =20
    WW II Teletype is covered in the book SIGTOT available in soft cover =

  I'm a telegraph and teletype transmission geek and wonder what =
technology was used to send the signals.
