Hello fellow list members. A few days ago, I wrote a rather 
short polite e-mail to Mr. Hutchison requesting a status update 
on the Dovetrons. After three days, I still had not received a 
reply. I then prepared a rather long diatribe outlining how I 
felt about waiting 8 months and sent that along- feeling that 
as long as I had been waiting, I probably was not going to 
see the Dovetron show up and was out the $50. Not a large 
amount by today's standards, but felt that I was going to get 
my $50 worth of complaining since I now wasn't expecting to 
ever receive the unit. I received an answer back last night. 
Very polite, apologetic, and with a promise that I would 
be receiving the Dovetron very soon. It was on the bench 
and would be prepped for shipment and sent out in a day or so. 
Mr. Hutchison's father is very ill, and it is consuming a large 
portion of his time. I think that's all that any of us wanted- 
just to hear a status update from time to time. Sorta like that 
squeeky wheel getting a shot of oil so it doesn't burn up? 
Anyhow for those of you who bought into project Big Bird, 
and have a vested interest, there REALLY IS a George 
Hutchison, and he REALLY IS working on the Dovetrons as 
he has time available. Apparently he's doing a lot more than 
what I had expected with each unit- tuning them up, printing 
a copy of the manual (I thought someone else was doing that) 
and burning a CD with something on it related to the Dovetrons 
as well. I had based my assumption that it should have been 
here months ago on a 5 minute test period per unit. From his 
e-mail, I think he's doing a complete alignment on each one! 
Anyhow, I -think- (my opinion, not based in fact) we're going 
to see the Dovetrons very soon!
