Greenkeys folks -

Looking through Fair Radio's online version of their new 2003 catalog,
I find:

> CV-2455 Converter allows the PRC-47 to
> transmit and receive RTTY signals and
> has a built in loop current supply
> (20MA or 60MA) for the teletypewriter
> (850 cycle shift). A blower for the
> transmitter to allows 100% duty cycle
> It also is setup for remote PPT control.
> 6.5x6.8x5.2, 7 lbs sh.,
> #CV-2455-U, Used, $75.00
> #CV-2455-UN, Unused, $125.00

This is the 850 shift teletype modem & fan unit which attaches to the
front panel of the PRC-47. Used to see these on the bay place but not
lately.
You'll hear these CV-2455 units on clatternet regularly - they work
well, performance is astoundingly good considering size & weight & parts
count.

The Fair Radio catalog page is at:
<http://fairradio.com/pg1.htm>
and their CV-2455 pic is at:

I already called about CV-2455 manuals and got a polite 'sorry not
available', but you can find schematics at:
http://www.hypertools.com/cv-2455.zip
These zipped manual pages are for the 700C-1 modem, a Collins
commercial product which is very similar to the CV-2455. The file you
download will unzip to 12 .JPG files including seven manual pages, four
pages of schematics, and a readme page.
