  I have successfully used 'Bumpons' - the adhesive-backed silicon rubber
feet that come in all sizes and shapes. There are small ones, round, about
1/4"  in dia, maybe 3/16 high. I stuck one of these on an ASR33 and it was
still in (computer) service 6 months later.  Just make sure the hammer bar
mounting surface is completely clean and de-greased *before* you stick the
'Bumpon'. Most well-stocked electronic supply houses carry various flavors
of these.
