My apologies for not being more current on  Project Big Bird.  I am
ensconced in a sea of paper associated with the Broadcast Project, and
have been trying to get it done by the end of this month.

The End User's Certificate approval is still in process. I will see Glenn
later this morning and see if he has any further updates.

Tony, W6ESE, has the manual, and initial scans have indicated that the
whole book would be a massive .PDF file.  I have decided to send Tony an
OCR program so that the book can be reduced to an ASCII text file, or else
a WORD file, just to keep the size down.

As a side note, I would like to express my full support for all of our
military personnel now engaged in the War in Iraq. If there were military
bus waiting at the curb with a sign saying "Come on George, WE WANT YOU",
this message would never be completed.

From what I have seen on the WC2XPF Veterans' Honor Roll, I think I speak
for many of us. Being too old, too bald, too fat, and, especially, TOO
MEAN, has its drawbacks, but dammit, I feel we vets are a resource that
should somehow be able to be tapped.

Tomorrow I will announce on GreenKeys my latest efforts with regard to the
Broadcast Project. I believe I have found the hook that will catch the eye
of those who make decisions. I'll let you guys peruse it, and get back to
me with your feedback. I will say that slogging through the mire that
constitutes the FCC Rules and Regs  has been an interesting adventure.
