Bid without peer group pressure in this private auction

 U.S. NAVY RADIOTELETYPE DIVERSITY SYSTEM

RCA's AN/URA6 FSK Demodulator System

Tunable, Highly Reliable and Sensitive FSK Equipment

From the late Korean Era comes the Navy's first principle FSK Converter System

This URA6 is in excellent condition and more than worthy of a good home. Why spend countless dollars on more receivers when you can provide real RTTY functionality with this U.S. Navy beauty

Installation is first rate. Here is a rear view where connections are made

The equipment label

The URA6 System is held together by its "RACK"

Each rack "slot" has integral neopreme catch pads which fall into
detents on the unit case

The units are two tuning units with CRT display and one comparator unit
with signal level metering

The comparator unit is fully adjustable. They were designed to capture most any shift and almost any speed, either
narrow or wide

As is the tuning unit

The rear aprons hold the line connections and vent the powered air output
from an internal fan. Here is the CM-14 rear apron

And here is the CV-57 rear apron

Both units extract professionally on racks which can also pivot for maintenance. Here
is the CM-14 being extracted

The internals consist of modules that are easily removed for maintenance
or for exchange

To remove a unit, you pull the relevant tuning knobs forward and this
frees the unit's internal coupling so that a unit can be exchanged in
seconds

Here is the CV-57 being pulled out

And a quick view of its modules

The system comes with a rare full original AN/URA6 System manual in almost new condition covering
all components, parts, modules, theory, schematics, etc. etc. Not all the connectors can be supplied with these units as I must save some for other assemblies still to be sold; they are shown here to illustrate a set and are available from your local electronics supplier.

Simply put, this is a fine vintage system. It accepts the IF Signal from
a receiver such as the R390 or R388. There is provision for calibration
tone inputs and a great deal of flexibility in receiving options

This equipment is offered as vintage equipment in clean, excellent physical
condition but "as is". Some maintenance should be performed prior to
use. The units have been tested for DOA status and are working. They
have been on display and not used for a long time. Given some patient and
careful review, they will outlast the buyer and the buyer's buyer. They are
made to run 24 X 7 given ample surge protection and cooling. A spare
CV57 mainframe complete in all respects including power supply but less modules
is included for the winning bidder to acquire the modules and use as a
test unit or backup source.

Again: Merchandise offered in this ad is sold "as is" with no further warranty or guarantee implied.
Buyer assumes all responsibility for the purchase decision as well as for safe use and disposition.

Winning bidder agrees to send payment by personal check or money order within ten working days of auction
completion. Priority mail envelopes are NOT necessary. Just mail with a .37 stamp and postmark
within ten working days (two weeks). Bidders who would like to use VISA or MasterCard are
welcome and can pay via Bid-Pay check transmittal (Western Union) or with one of your low-interest
credit card draw checks. Payment must include both the insured FedEx shipping AND a packing & handling
charge of $25 per unit
