A couple of things:

First, if you are concerned about drive levels, you can attenuate AND
maintain 600-ohms with a resistive T-pad (or a pi-pad) if you know what dB
attenuation you need.  I'm sure I have the formulas in a book around here
somewhere.  But the impedance is not likely that critical for an audio
input, so you might just want to use a 1K pot to let you tweak the level to
something decent.  Call me if you want to chat about it.  

Second, you have been posting from telegrapher@att.net, which was not
subscribed and messages bounced to me for approval (your normal greenkeys
account is telegrapher@worldnet.att.net).  So I added telegrapher@att.net
as a post-only greenkeys account.  Let me know if you want to change either
of these accounts around.
