  Ed, if you go to www.buzbee.net/heavymetal/index.htm - or inquire here,
you might be interested in a program called 'Heavymetal' which allows the
interfacing of a mechanical Teletype to any modern PC - thus you could
(automagically)  download various newsfeeds from the on-line services,
reformat them into plain text, and squirt same out the PC's port into the
TTY via a level shifter and loop keyer.

  Several folks here are doing just that - the TTY comes to life at
intervals and prints out the News (as %Deity intended it to be printed)
and then shuts itself off until the next batch is ready.

  Might be just the thing for your Museum.
