Wayne,
These are actually still made, although the plug body material is no longer
black bakelite I don't have any of my RA-87's nor their TM's handy to look at
right now so I'll have to ask this. Are the connectors on your RA-87 recessed
or flush with the surface? Reason I ask is that the AC power cord plug for
the BC-610 is also still made but not usable because sometime over the years
the OD of the female cable plug body increased. And the chassis male on the
BC-610 is recessed. So if yours are recessed current production may not work
mechanically. And the wall thickness of the body of the current one that would
have fit the 610 was too thin to consider turning it down. I ended up using
the new brass from the ones I bought to refurbush some old bodies that I found.
Without digging out the catalog to check, I think that there were maybe four
different 2-pole twist locks, with different current and voltage ratings. The
rating should be molded into the face of the ones on the RA-87. That
information should be sufficient to identify the current part number. The
differences (also applies to 3 and 4-pole twist locks) are that the male prongs and
female body faces have a key turned off the corner of one of the prongs. Or the
circumferential dimension of one of the prongs is larger than the other. Or
both.
