Greenkeyers - - -
Seems there are fifteen more Dovetron TUs in lots 628, 629 and 630 in that
same auction, making the total 33 units.
I have chatted with my Junque Emporium friend, and he is interested in
helping get the units.
There are several points of concern before this thing goes much further:
1 - Price.... What is a reasonable price? How much is one willing to put
up front for one of these items? When bidding on a government auction it
is required to submit 10 percent of the total price with the bid.
2 - Logistics... Huntsville is in Northern Alabama, close to the Tennessee
line. We've had one offer from a gentleman in Northern Florida to go after
them for a reasonable price. Will he travel as far as Huntsville???
3 - Shipping... Would the person who picks them up be willing to take the
time and trouble to get a supply of adequate boxes, tape, bubble wrap,
labels, etc., and pack them properly for shipment?
4 - EUC (if required) from each person purchasing a unit to supply the
bidding person with satisfactory evidence the units would be going to a
legally acceptable buyer, in the event that the Feds get curious as to the
distribution of the units.
5 - Funds Management... The easiest way to do it would be for my friend to
handle the accounting and escrow of the money. He will not handle this
project for nothing, as it will take some time on his part, and he is not
in business for the fun of it (so he says). A reasonable compensation
amount should be determined.
So that all will know this is on the up and up, my friend is Glenn Galati,
KA7BOJ. He runs a firm in Tacoma, Washington known as Electronic
Dimensions. He is an impeccably honest individual who does a lot of
business on ebay. His ebay sellers ID is "Battlestar", and his website is
www.El-Dim.com . Phone number is available from the website.
I will be chatting with him later this evening, to get a feel for how he
would like to handle this project. I have clued him in on the event and
lot numbers, and steered him to the Government Liquidations website. He
has contacts at the parent organization in Arizona, and will probably be
in touch with them tomorrow.
Comments questions and suggestions are welcome. I will assist Glenn as
needed so that all parties concerned will feel that the fairest
arrangements, prices, etc., will have been afforded all.
More later...
