This gadget is described in the RSGB Teleprinter Handbook. It supposedly can send the FOX message, but I can't tell if the disk is coded from the picture. It normally plugs into a test set front panel.

Item Description:
Radiation 14-106A TDMS Coder
Here is an odd little plug-in box, part of some unknown larger system. This thing, made by Radiation Inc. (gotta love those Cold War industry names), is called a TDMS coder. I have no idea what that means.
This thing looks like it spits out a digital code for a Teletype. The gold plated disk has some sort of encoding, maybe something like a WHO-IS drum found in 33s. Maybe it spits out the brown fox line for testing.
Nice! Untested. It should work OK - it is very easy to manually step the relay with a finger - nothing seems jammed. Pretty small - the disk is only about 2 inches in diameter. Fun toy.
