Gil,
I'm a recent subscriber to the list, and in fact my history with
"real TTYs" starts and ends with ASR-33s pretty much back in high
school, so I guess I'm a "GreyKey"er. But anyway...
You asked for information on the DEC modified ASR-33.
It was marketed as the "LT33", and was in fact modified by DEC to
activate the reader.
The following Web site has LOTS of useful information about PDP-8s
and their interfacing, including these gems:
Teletype Model 33 Line Set wiring printouts
DEC LT33 Teletype Modifications Print Set
The main site: <http://www.chd.dyndns.org/pdp8/>
Scroll down to see the links to the print sets. They're TIFF files,
and *LARGE* -- upwards of 6 MB each.
Hope this helps!
