Units 50 through 67 are in the lot with condition code "F". We have no way
of determining functionality, damage, etc., without actually seeing them,
so we might go so far as to make a special 2 fer 1-1/2 super buy, but that
remains to be seen. Non-functioning "Junkers" will not be shipped without
the buyer so knowing and acknowledging the questionable status.
Some may question the "RESERVED" designation for the last six units.
Please allow an explaination.
Sometimes it is necessary to make special arrangements so as to assure
exemplary service and dedication.with regard to a given goal. It was felt
proper to do so with this project, so all would be comfortable in knowing
that the items participants in the project would receive would have been
afforded the best possible handling when they open their package and their
eyes first behold their Dovetron. Two of the reserved units are going for
this purpose.
It was also decided to reserve four of the units for the seemingly dormant
RTTY Broadcast Project. Should the Broadcast Project Rulemaking come to
pass, the Dovetron units dedicated to the broadcast project will become a
part of a limited number of equipment packages which will be made
available to those who first receive their authorizations. (This assumes a
lot, but, why not? RTTY/Data Broadcasting wasn't even a possibility until
it was tried. The packages are George's way of supporting his belief in
the project.)
More information on the status of the Broadcast Project will soon be
posted on WWW.RTTY.COM.
Back to the Dovetrons, they went faster than expected!!
