Hi All,
Was wondering if anyone on the list had the DB-25 pinout for the HAL
ST-8000. I want
to hook it up to a UGC-129(V)1 but I realize I need MIL-188 voltages instead
of the RS-232
voltages. I'm guessing that the ST-8000 DB-25 doesn't follow "normal" RS-232
pinouts or
is the voltage strap selectable inside the unit using the same TXD/RXD pins?
Also, wondered if anybody has some tips for keeping a mechanical teleprinter
like the
UGC-129(V)1 in decent shape. It's the only one I have and my first
mechanical tty, so
I'm not sure about maintenance (ie what to oil and how much, when etc) Does
the 129
even use oil or dry lubricant? I thought I had a repair manual somewhere,
but can't seem
to find it.
Finally, someone asked about the NASDAW survey. I also got tagged, thanks
for the
heads up. Really miss the experimental broadcast they had going on. I think
the gentleman
to contact is George (W7TTY) but I'm not sure. Here's his info (from QRZ
database)
if he's not on this list...
